CLIMATIZACION'09,
the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration
Exhibition organized by IFEMA, is preparing for the staging of its thirteenth
edition, which, given the biennial nature of the event, will also mark 25 years
since the fair was founded. This event, which will be taking place at Feria de
Madrid on February 24th 27th 2009, enjoys the backing
of a wide-ranging and highly representative Organising Committee that includes
all of the main associations within the industry: AFEC, AMASCAL, AMICYF,
ANEFRYC, ASETUB, ASIMCCAF, ATECYR, CNI, CONAIF and FEGECA.
On this occasion, CLIMATIZACION will offer a larger exhibition area, an
improved layout and a more convenient organisation of the sectors represented
at the event, reveals the organizers press release. The fair's growing stature
and the excellent results it achieved at the last edition have consolidated the
leading role of CLIMATIZACION as the leading point of reference in Europe for the Air-conditioning sector and one of the
most outstanding trade events for the Heating and Refrigeration industry. At its last edition, the fair staged its
largest ever event, based on the direct participation of some 800 exhibitors,
which represents an increase of 20.8%. The fair occupied a total exhibition
area measuring 58,151
metres. These unprecedented participation levels were
complemented by record trade visitor figures. In this respect, the event
welcomed some 55,548 visitors, a 13.9% increase compared to its previous
edition, which led to a total of 71,067 visits.
The international dimension at the fair also enjoyed significant growth,
based on a 74% increase in direct participation on the part of foreign
companies and a 19% increase in the attendance of buyers from abroad.
In line with the preference expressed by the majority of the exhibiting
companies, there will also be a change regarding the days on which the fair
takes place: CLIMATIZACION will now be staged between Tuesday and Friday,
instead of its traditional days of Wednesday to Saturday. The event's growing levels of professionalism and
its developing international dimension also recommend this change. The
timetable will remain the same: 10.00
a.m. to 8.00 p.m. every day.
