The Portuguese Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (APIRAC) recently announced
CLIMAMED 09 Mediterranean Air Conditioning Congress, and has issued a first
call for papers.
The 5th edition of the
congress, which will be taking place in Lisbon (Portugal) on April 16th 18th,
2009, hopes to bring to the CLIMAMED forum all EU Mediterranean member
countries, as well as those from the the Middle Eastern and North-African
regions. Now an European reference in the HVACR sector, its goal is to continue
being a forum where industry, technicians, manufacturers, contractors,
engineers, scientists, architects, building owners, consultants, decision and policy-makers
find a platform for bringing breakthroughs for the exchange of scientific and
technical knowledge and for discussion about all the current concerns of HVACR
in the Mediterranean Regions.
The Congress solicits technical papers that focus on breakthroughs, innovative
features or interesting experiences in the fields of air conditioning and
refrigeration: application of renewable energies to HVAC and SHW systems, energy
efficiency in buildings, buildings of the future, refrigerants and the environment,
IAQ, ventilation and smoke exhaust systems, quality of installations and systems,
standardization and European regulations. If you are interested in
presenting a technical paper in one of the four official languages
Portuguese, Spanish, French or Italian - or in English at the CLIMAMED '09,
send an abstract in English with approximately 250 words and a title by 15
October 2008 to one of the following associations: APIRAC in Portugal, ATECYR
in Spain, AICVF in France, AICARR in Italy. According
to the organizers press release, each abstract will be evaluated by the local
Scientific Committee and approved by the International Committee for
presentation by 15 November 2008. Accepted papers will be due by 12 January
2009.
