In 2009, the
European Solar Thermal Energy Conference (estec),
the largest of its kind in Europe, will once again take place in Munich, in cooperation
with Intersolar. estec is organized
every two years by the European Solar Thermal Industry Federation (ESTIF) and
opens its doors on May 25 and 26, 2009, at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich, two days before
Intersolar 2009. The organizers decision to continue its collaboration with
Intersolar, now the world's largest solar power trade show, sends out a clear
message. "Intersolar has become the most important platform for the
European Solar Industry," says Uwe Trenkner, Secretary General of ESTIF.
Next year, the
organizers of Intersolar are expecting up to 1,300 exhibiting companies from
all sectors of the solar industry and over 60,000 visitors, following what was
already a significant increase in the number of exhibitors this year. According
to the organizers press release, the number of visitors to estec2009 is also
expected to rise correspondingly, it being estimated that around 600 experts
and decision-makers from the international solar thermal industry will attend.
"Intersolar is now an established event for anyone working within the
solar thermal sector. We are very pleased that estec, the most significant
conference in the solar thermal sector, will once again take place in
conjunction with Intersolar in 2009," says Horst Dufner, Intersolar
Project Manager.
