Cliplight introduces new HVAC industry's class of dye application PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 18 September 2009

Cliplight Mfg., a Toronto-based leading HVAC/R aftermarket products manufacturer, has introduced cliplightFlash, a new class of ultra violet (UV) leak detection dye. Unlike all other dyes on the market, Flash does not contain polyolester (POE) oil as a carrier, but instead uses Cliplight’s own Dry R drying agent, which keeps the dye stable and prevents it from crystallizing with moisture. In addition, Flash also uses Cliplight’s patented vacuum-packed allowing the dye to mist into the system for instant distribution.

According to the company’s press release, the new Flash replaces the industry’s cumbersome, messy and time-consuming task of dripping highly viscous dye through an applicator/injector into the system oil sump and then waiting for the system’s circulating refrigerant to distribute it. Instead, the dye flashes as a moisture-free mist that instantaneously mixes with system refrigerant/oil.
