Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) has launched VE-Gaia navigation software in order to
offer workflow analysis and understanding. The new VE-Gaia system is
composed of a series of navigators which reduce the potential for human error,
thus increasing productivity and allowing the manipulation of data within an
integrated central data model.
VE-Gaia users are taken through analysis tasks
including: model import/creation and data assignment; the consideration of
building metrics; natural resources and material use; climate exploration;
water use; energy/carbon analysis; loads calculation; daylight/solar
assessments; renewable and low/zero carbon technology consideration and the
assessment of LEED credits.
According to IES, with use of
the software designers can produce visual graphics and interactive text
reports. Movement between navigators is allowed at any point enabling a rapid
cycle of development for each project, meaning workflow can be tailored within
the framework provided. In addition, VE-Gaia navigators feature a notes and
user stamp function to facilitate a direct modelling QA system that can be
exported for documentation purposes.
