Munters, a global leader in energy efficient air treatment solutions, recently introduced the new Green Purge IDS desiccant dehumidification system for lithium battery dry rooms. According to Munters’ press release, the Green Purge system offers significant energy savings, delivering minus 70°F dew point air using 50-60% less energy than traditional desiccant systems applied in battery dry rooms.

In addition and according to Munters, battery manufacturers utilizing Munters Green Purge for dry rooms will realize reduced energy costs and no loss of dry room humidity control. Lithium battery manufacturers can expect a $40K to $100k energy savings per dry room system.
