Stokvis Energy Systems, a
UK market leader for specialist boiler systems, recently announced a new
evacuated tube solar collector to be showcased at the HEVAR Exhibition, the
event in London for the heating, ventilating and air conditioning industry, to
be held on September 23- 24 at the Royal Horticultural Halls,
Victoria.
According to Stokvis Energy Systems, the new Ecotube
solar collector utilises solar energy and reduces the input required from the
boiler plant, using parasitic energy when converting solar energy to heat, which
is frequently lost by most evacuated tube solar heating systems. In addition,
the new Ecotube requires smaller pumps to circulate fluid resulting in a sustained
level of heat and pressure, and producing more than 750kWh/m2 per year in
direct heating mode and 850kWh/m2 per year in pre-heat mode.
Along with the Ecotube, also
showcased at the exhibition stand are the C Series of Econoplate plate heat
exchangers and the Econoflame R6000, a condensing boiler available in seven
models with outputs from 142 to 539 kW.
