ClimateWell, specialized in air conditioning under the Solar Cooling technology, has signed an agreement with Total Energy Solutions (TES), an American company whose focus is energy efficiency, with the aim of marketing its innovative sustainable and efficient air conditioning technology in the Dominican Republic.

Thus, ClimateWell opens a new business opportunity in the Caribbean due to the introduction of solar cooling, taking advantage of the long hours of sunlight available in this geographic area throughout the year, it will reduce the high electricity consumption from the air conditioning  of hotel resorts all over the country, and other tertiary buildings and large dimensions.

There are two reasons that have prompted ClimateWell to bet on the Dominican Republic as an ideal location to expand its solar cooling technology as an alternative system to traditional air conditioning. The first is that solar thermal energy can guarantee 100% of energy supply, significant advantage since in this country is guaranteed only 60%. Second, in the Dominican Republic there is a problem of energy integration, so the search for distributed or decentralized energy has become a focus of the local government.
