A new series of Blast Freezer Unit Coolers has been presented by Thermokey, a leader in the production of advanced high tech heat exchangers for air -conditioning, refrigeration and process-cooling.

This series of floor mounted unit coolers is ideal for applications where rapid freezing of food products is needed such as, for instance, meat, chicken, fish, baked products, milk and cheese products, frozen meals, etc.

These Blast Freezer Unit Coolers  are designed for applications with R404a, R507, NH3 and CO2.
Three series are available for different working ranges as follows :
- FLT series with R404A, from 14kW to 71 kW ( Evap. Temp.=-40°C ΔT1=5K)
- FLA series with NH3, from 16kW to 99 kW ( Evap. Temp.=-40°C ΔT1=5K)
- FLC series with CO2, from 18kW to 107 kW ( Evap. Temp.=-40°C ΔT1=5K)

On these units the refrigerant charge is lower than what is available on other manufacturers’ units of the same category, with positive effects both on economic and environmental sides. To improve cost efficiency even further these units have a low electric energy consumption and smart solutions for an easy installation and maintenance.

The standard models have a RAL 9010 painted aluminium frame and copper tubes ( for the FLT series ) or tubes in stainless steel AISI 304 ( for the FLA and FLC series ). A 12mm fin spacing is used with 630mm diameter fans with a 100 Pa available external pressure.

Various customisations are available such as, for instance, stainless steel AISI 304 or galvanized steel frames and also numerous types of  fins and defrosting systems ( electric, hot gas etc. ).
